Expertise.

As one of the founding partners of BCG & Company, Thomas is still driven by the core principle upon which he and the other founding partners shared and built the firm upon 25 years ago: a commitment to delivering the quality of a national firm, with the personal service of a local business.   This motivation, coupled with his fervor for helping wealthy and aspiring wealthy entrepreneurs handle complicated tax issues and transactions through their life’s work and legacy, is where Thomas has experienced the most gratification.

Currently, Thomas is the director for the firm’s taxation services.  His commitment to the business has resulted in the firm being consecutively named a NorthCoast 99 company – one of the best places to work in Northeast Ohio.   
    
His career began as a practice manager at regional and national accounting firms, as well as serving as an IRS auditor.  Thomas graduated summa cum laude from the University of Akron, with a Bachelor of Science degree Accounting.  He became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and acquired a strong client service background in complex tax planning and financial strategy.
     
Specialization.

Thomas is adept in providing sophisticated approaches to businesses and/or families with highly complex tax and asset challenges throughout their diverse and evolving life’s work and legacy.  Whether they are expanding their businesses, selling their business, or passing them to their families, Thomas is often called upon at every stage to advise clients on acquisitions of companies, real estate and other assets.

Because this high level of planning often involves complicated transaction structures and compliance issues for multiple business entities, trusts, and individual family members, Thomas’ unique ability to expertly navigate through these intricate matters alleviates difficult issues and assists them in achieving their life goals.

Thomas has extensive experience in addressing the needs of manufacturing, distribution and real estate companies.
